Fenton wrestlers compete in first ever girls state championship

This is one of my favorite sports stories I've written. It covers three Fenton female wrestlers who participated in the first wrestling championship for girls. The story includes interviews from all three girls as well as their coach. The emotion and excitement from the girls was what made the story worth while in my opinion. This story was submitted for NW-19 sports features story in the MIPA Individual Category Student Media Contest.
Video teacher Jacob Davis seeks new opportunity with Apple Inc.

The video program at Fenton High lost its second teacher for the year after Jacob Davis left to fulfill a new position with Apple Inc. in California. This news story was somewhat difficult to write because we [newspaper staff] found out he was leaving on his last day. So this story had to be written by the end of the day.This story was submitted for NW-04 news brief story in the MIPA Individual Category Student Media Contest.

Teachers deserve more acknowledgment for everything they do

This was one of the opinion stories that I have written. I am very passionate about teaching and education, so I wrote about how teachers do so much for students that they should really be given more credit. I feel that this was one of my best stories because I care so deeply about it.

This was the first story that I had written for the Fenton InPrint. This story focused on a pain-relieving method known as 'cupping' that many girls on the Fenton swim team used. This story received an honorable mention at the MIPA spring conference in 2017.
